These jewels are inspired by early Chinese civilizations which believed pearls were formed in a dragon’s head and once the pearls were full-grown, they were kept between the dragon’s teeth. To gather the pearls, people had to slay the dragon. This design recreates the pearl teeth of the dragon with the round pearl and the firm and challenging head of the animal by the teardrop black agate.

Agate
Agate is a microcrystalline, compact variety of semiprecious chalcedony. Agate is mostly characterised by colour bands in a concentric form. In the Middle Ages, wearing agate was thought to cure insomnia and ensure sweet dreams.
